"Serotonin Syndrome is entertaining, bizarre and beautifully confusing. It has wonderful highs and dark lows with revealing truths…that are at times very personal. Mycah and Genevieve have this magnetic sister-like relationship and they draw you in from the first scene. Quite simply, I loved it!” James O'Malley, Galway Flirt FM Radio

Serotonin Syndrome

Mycah and Genevieve were inspired by the 2012 Galway Fringe audience’s reaction to Part III and people’s desire to see how far and in what direction the implications of the work could be taken...

About Us

Genevieve Taricco and Mycah Leigh Artis started Serotonin Syndrome Productions in 2011 in Galway, Ireland. Serotonin Syndrome Productions’ works explore the human experience from the perspective of today’s American youth.

Serotonin Syndrome Productions is interested in devising works that electrify, instigate and entertain.

Serotonin Syndrome Productions’ works are energetic—shifting between varied mediums of expression. The productions combine consuming physicality with serene cerebral reflection of the world. Through the use of movement and language that provokes interpretation Serotonin Syndrome Productions wishes to evoke emotion that leads to thought rather than thought that leads to emotion. The productions challenge audiences by facilitating thought and dialogue.

Serotonin Syndrome Productions is an ever-evolving ensemble of artists and therefore opens their work out to a broader community through workshops  – the company believes the devising process benefits from the inclusion of more minds and life experiences.

Serotonin Syndrome Productions is filled with the promise that comes from the intense longing to develop and perform original works—fulfilling the relationship between the work, the audience, and the world.

Serotonin Syndrome Productions constitutes the New Works sector of Peppermint Creek Theatre Company in Lansing, Michigan, but its productions are performed all over the world.
